Monarchs need your help NOW! During the past few years, over 75% of the wintering Monarchs from North America froze to death in Mexico as a result of three days of rain and sub-freezing conditions. There is also a Nationwide shortage of milkweed. These freak weather patterns and destroyed habitats kill millions of helpless Monarchs. Habitat must be protected now to ensure their survival, before we see the day when this miracle of nature is only a memory. The Monarchs need your help NOW. Please plant seeds and ensure their survival. A Milkweed in every yard!

Please let everyone know about this site, about how to get milkweed seed, and why it is so important!

Hmmm, that's really cool. We've got lots of milkweed here, though, so I'm good. You should see all the butterflies right now!

For some reason, this post reminded me of the Mary Poppins song, "Feed the Birds."...only, I kept seeing Mom in front of a big tree somewhere, singing "Feed the Butterflies...Toppins a bag, Toppins, Toppins, Toppins a bag!" :) Mom you are so cute that you love butterflies so much. It's nice to have an obsession..oh, I mean hobby! We all have them and need them. :) Love,Ang

Hi Ellen,
I had a great idea or at least I think so. You know I started working with different Nursing homes/Independent Facilities, what if we could get some of these people to plant milkweed and such? The facilities like to try and keep things as "normal" for the residents as they can. Some are much better than others. Let me know what you think?
