Space Lab Highlights

November is Space month in our Science Explore Lab. We had a great time studying the planets, the solar system, constellations, propulsion, and the sun.

Gustov Holtz "the Planets"

Students were able to use the Steve Spangler canister rockets to illustrate how it takes a tremendous amount of power to break through the earth's gravity to reach space.

We had a star party that night. Parents brought their telescopes and we had a great time seeing Jupiter and three of it's moons as well as the moon's surface and many stars and constellations.

Now it's time to roll up my sleeves and prepare for the Rocks Lab... and away we go!

Ellen - It looks like you had a lot of fun looking at the stars and seeing Jupiter. The film canisters are a lot of fun with a little science lesson too.
